The Ghost Town Ramblers, Cam Caruso and Corey Paige will share the Oswego Music Hall stage on Friday, February 16, 2018.

As part of the Music Hall’s Hook Singer-Songwriter series, these local musicians will interact with the audience and each other as they present their original material and discuss the songwriting process. The venue is the McCrobie Civic Center, 41 Lake Street in Oswego. Show time is 7:30 pm; doors open at 7:00. Tickets are $12.

The “Ghost Town Ramblers” are comprised of singer songwriters Lou Kaplan and Kay Miracle. Combining their love of American roots music, Lou and Kay decided to take the road less traveled and formed an all original duo featuring harmony laden vocals and acoustic instrumentation. Armed with an extensive portfolio of original material, Lou and Kay hit the studio hard with Mick Walker and recorded 12 songs to be released this spring. The Duo is a fusion of Lou’s outlaw roots (Mad Jack, National recording artist Savoy Brown, Last Train Out, Lonesome Crow) and Kay’s Americana folk rock sound (Miracle Sisters, 5 time Sammy award winner Reckless Drivin’, Kay & the Miracle Cure). Together as the “Ghost Town Ramblers” Lou and Kay deliver their unique sound in a roots revival of America’s heartland in Upstate New York.

Cam Caruso is a 23-year-old singer-songwriter from Oswego, NY. With two original EP's and a full length album under his belt, this Indie-Pop musician can be found performing out as many as five times per week. Caruso spent his first two years of college in Missouri studying music and traveling across the country singing in various ensembles. Half way through school Cam transferred back home to attend SUNY Oswego where he finished his degree in Audio Recording and Production.

His final school project consisted of recording a full length album that he engineered, produced, composed, and performed on. Cam graduated in August of 2017 and his album, On The Other Side, was released two months later. For more information visit: camcarusomusic.com.

Corey Paige is a SAMMY Award winning singer-songwriter from Syracuse, NY. His influences include Elliott Smith, Radiohead, Elvis Costello, and Soul lCoughing. After five studio albums and 15 years as front-man for rock band Candid, he's currently working on new material for his first solo album. For more information find Corey on facebook.

There will be two remaining shows this spring in The Hook series, with the next one taking place on Friday, March 16. It will feature Mark Wahl, Colleen Kattau and Dave Wolever.

In addition to The Hook, the Oswego Music Hall offers Open Mic Fridays every other weekend through May. The next open mic is scheduled on February 23, with host Larry Kyle. On the following night, Saturday, February 24, Joe Crookston will headline the National Stage. All shows start at 7:30 pm and doors open at 7:00. You can enjoy performing artists at the family friendly Oswego Music Hall, located in the McCrobie Civic Center, 41 Lake Street, Oswego, NY. The atmosphere is intimate with candle-lit tables surrounding a small stage. Light snacks, desserts and beverages are available for purchase. Ticket prices begin at $2 for Open Mics and $12 for Hook events. Children under 12 are half price and under 5 free. The Music Hall is a non profit organization that has been run entirely by volunteers from its inception 40 years ago. Volunteers can earn admission to shows through various tasks— from running the sound board to making popcorn. Students can also earn credit for community service.
