Port of Oswego Executive Director, William Scriber, explains the impact of high water on the ports properties on both the east and west sides of the harbor with Governor Andrew Cuomo as he toured the Oswego Harbor.
Governor Cuomo and the Department of Transportation also gave the port 18 pallets of sandbags as a preventive means as the water level rises. Any strong winds would create waves that breach the dock and could potentially damage the grain that is stored in the north end of the ports warehouse.
