The Springside Knitting Club will be offering a variety of knitted and crocheted items for donation sale on Monday, December 9 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., including lap robes, hats for all ages, scarfs, shawls, mittens, dish cloths, and other miscellaneous items.

The library has a surplus of books and will sell them for donations. Proceeds from the sale are given to local charities, including Central NY Food Bank, Human Concerns of Oswego, Catholic Charities, The Salvation Army, Family Resources Center, Friends of Oswego County Hospice, and the Manor at Seneca Hill.

Springside is located at 10 County Route 45A, Oswego. Turn west onto County Route 45 from Route 481, take the first left, then the first right. Springside is fully accessible.

Springside at Seneca Hill is an independent living residential community for seniors 55 or older who can take care of their personal needs but who want to free themselves of the responsibilities of maintaining a house. Fully accessible apartments, duplexes, and cottages are available, along with a variety of services including prepared restaurant-style dinners served by trained staff in the formally appointed dining room where casual attire prevails, housekeeping, laundry, lawn care, snow removal, garages, and maintenance services, depending upon the options chosen. Most residents find it considerably less expensive and much less stress and work than maintaining a private house.

Information is available and tours of Springside may be arranged by calling 315-343-5658 to schedule an appointment.
