Helen M. Benzing, 94, a resident of 20 Herrick St., in Oswego, passed away Thursday, May 30, 2013, at St. Luke Health Services.
Mrs. Benzing was born in Oswego, a daughter of the late William and Anna (McMahon) McGrath. She was a life resident.
She was the wife of the late Robert Benzing, who died in 2002.
Mrs. Benzing was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Oswego.
She is survived by a daughter, Maryann (Leon) Doud of Oswego; three sons, Thomas (Christine) Benzing, Joseph (Susan) Benzing and David (Cathy) Benzing, all of Oswego; three sisters, Anna Mae Mitchell and Eileen (George) Ranous, both of Oswego, and Hazel Ebert, of California; 15 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by a son, Robert L. (Larry) Benzing; and two brothers, Jack McGrath and George McGrath.
Funeral services will be held at 10 am., Monday, June 3, from St. Mary's Church.
Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, and from 4-8 p.m., Sunday, at her home on 20 Herrick St., in Oswego.
