 h an informational forum entitled, "Understanding Advanced Care Planning", 
 presented by local Attorney Sara E. Davis.<br />Davis, who has over 21 year
 s of experience in the area of advanced care planning will review the impor
 tance of making your personal healthcare wishes known through the use of Ad
 vanced Directives, and the various documents and considerations needed for 
 retaining control of, and protecting your right to request medical treatmen
 ts or procedures you want - and refusing medical treatments or procedures y
 ou do not want, if you lose the ability to make decisions yourself.<br />"A
 dvanced care planning can seem like something that you can put off until la
 ter or is an issue that won't affect you now because you may enjoy good hea
 lth," said Davis. "But our circumstances can change and it is in your inter
 est and that of your family's to go through the process of Advanced Care Pl
 anning to ensure your healthcare wishes are protected."<br />The forum will
  include a discussion on the importance of a Health Care Proxy, Living Will
  and Power of Attorney; three documents in the Advance Care Planning proces
 s. Guests will have the opportunity to have their questions answered. Davis
  will also review the steps you should consider when discussing your wishes
  with you designated healthcare agent.<br />The hour long forum, which incl
