  Volunteers will hold its 9th Annual Diane Falise Memorial Scrabble® Fest. 
 One of Oswego County’s most entertaining fund raisers, Scrabble® Fest offer
 s devotees of the game Scrabble® the opportunity to enjoy an evening of fri
 endly competition, and more. “Scrabble® Fest is much more than just another
  fund raiser,” said Meg Henderson, coordinator of Oswego County Opportuniti
 es’ (OCO) Literacy Volunteers Program.\n“Scrabble® Fest is also a way to ra
 ise awareness of Literacy Volunteers and our efforts to combat the issue of
  illiteracy in Oswego County. Literacy Volunteers offers the opportunity fo
 r adult students to develop the literary skills and computer skills necessa
 ry for daily activities, gaining employment, and more,” explained Henderson
 .\nScrabble® Fest takes place from 6:30 to 9:00 p.m. at Elks Lodge #271, 13
 2 West 5th Street, Oswego. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and games will begin at 
 6:30 p.m. Teams of four will compete against each other with the top three 
 teams awarded prizes.\nBack by popular demand for Scrabble® Fest 2015 are t
 he “Golden Tiles” which teams can purchase to help them earn additional poi
 nts for their team score. Teams will be able to purchase a limited number o
 f ‘Golden Tiles’ which will play as a blank tile and can be used for the le
 tter of their choice. “We will also be awarding an additional 100 points to
  the team who obtains the highest pledge amount,” explained Henderson.\nNew
  for 2015 are the “Exchange a Tile” Tokens. Teams can purchase up to one to
 ken per round of play. If you get a tray with all vowels, or you’re stuck w
 ith that pesky Q, you can turn in a token and dump and replace as many tile
 s as you like without losing your team’s turn at play. One token may be use
 d per round of play.\nIn addition to the Scrabble® competition Henderson sa
 id that there will be raffles, door prizes, a 50/50 drawing and other fun a
