DESCRIPTION:The Center for Instruction, Technology and Innovation (CiTi) will be hostin
g their 12th annual Regional Awareness Program (RAP) for Young Drivers on W
ednesday, March 30 at 7 p.m.\nRAP is an initiative that occurs every year i
n Oswego County with the goal of educating young people on the dangers of d
riving under the influence. Free to the public, several local agencies atte
nd and present displays and demonstrations. For example, the New York State
Police Department brings their vehicle rollover simulator, which rotates a
vehicle with dummy passengers to show the extent of injury with and withou
t a seatbelt.\nOther agencies in attendance this year will be: Oswego Count
y Sheriff’s Department, Oswego County District Attorney’s Office, Oswego Ci
ty Police Department, Oswego County STOP DWI program and CiTi’s Driver Educ
ation Program.\n \nRAP has attracted over 300 parents and students in past
years, usually scheduled just before prom season. There is no charge to att
end; the event will be held at CiTi’s Mexico Campus located at 179 County R
oute 64 Mexico, NY 13114. Attendees are encouraged to use the hashtags #tee
