Our goa
l is to provide opportunities to the youth of our community through creatin
g access to summer programming emphasizing personal growth, while also havi
ng a whole lot of fun. Proceeds of the race will be designated to specifica
lly support two groups:
-A group of teens from OAC will be attending t
he LIFE 2016 conference in Kansas City, MO this July. While there, they wil
l have the opportunity to hear from speakers on a variety of faith-based to
pics, enjoy concerts, and engage in practical community service (such as cl
eaning up a community garden/ park affiliated with an outreach organization
serving the underprivileged).
-In collaboration with a local el
ementary school and Camp Foundations, we will be sponsoring a g
roup of children who might not otherwise have the opportunity the chance to
attend summer camp. Each sponsored child will have their registration, lun
ches and transportation covered for a week at camp this summer.
Race Information:
Anticipated course starts and ends at Oswego
Alliance Church, includes some trail running at Rice Creek Field Station.<
br />Pre-registration fee of $30 includes t-shirt and pancake breakfast to
follow the race.
