The Walk is free and open to the community to spread awareness a bout the growing problem of addiction.
The WALK will start and end at the Oswego El ks Lodge with registration now open. The day of the event, sign-in will beg in at 10:30 a.m. and the walk will take place around Downtown Oswego, follo wed by activities at the Elks Lodge including entertainment, food, raffles, vendors and education and support services available for those with an add iction and their family and friends.
In addition to Cori and Amy, who are mothers o f addicts, Meggan Gauger is on the planning committee for this event. Megga n is a former addict who now volunteers in the community to help others str uggling with addiction.

The group meets every second Tuesday at the Prevention Offices of F arnham Family Services at 283 West Second Street in Oswego. Next meeting is July 12th. All community members are welcome.
