Oswego, NY(July 12, 2016)- The annual Children’s Gala will be tak
ing place on Tuesday, July 26th, at 6 PM in Breitbeck Park. The Gala this y
ear has a special birthday theme celebrating Oswego County’s Bi-Centennial.
Tickets are $5 and will be sold at the Harborfest Volunteer Center at
41 Lake Street (Mon-Fri from 9 AM to 3 PM), Farmer’s Market (Thursdays fro
m 4:30-8 PM), Oswego YMCA, and Mother Earth Baby. Only children need ticket
s.
With the purchase of a $5 ticket, children will get a sno-cone, pop
corn, cake, and ice cream. There will also be an airhop, obstacle course, p
lacemat decorating, and a selfie station with props. There will also be a t
-shirt work shop taking place, where children can stamp t-shirts with paint
and make a custom shirt, bring $5 or a plain tshirt!

r Kaylee Conner commented, “The Children’s Gala this year has a special mea
ning because it’s Oswego County’s Bicentennial. We want children and their
families to have a great time while celebrating our community’s heritage in
the days leading up to Harborfest.”
Harborfest is one of the few admi
ssion-free music festivals in the country. It was founded with the mission
of creating nationally recognized festivals and events that attract and eng
age a broad and diverse audience, celebrate and build community, and advanc
e economic development in Oswego, New York. It would not be possible to con
tinue the event without the massive continued support received from the Cit
y of Oswego, businesses, organizations, government entities, and individual
