The Oswego High School Music Department will present the riotous musi
cal comedy Anything Goes! at the Robinson-Faust Theater for the Performing
Arts February 10 and 11 at 7:30 PM. In 1934, America was deep into the Grea
t Depression and those who could afford a theatre ticket demanded frothy, e
scapist musical comedies to ease their troubles. The debonair composer Cole
Porter poured all of his wit and humor into Anything Goes!, creating a cla
ssic musical comedy that has remained as effervescent and hilarious as the
day it premiered 82 years ago.

ll Street broker Billy Crocker (Doug Schneider) accidentally boards the lux
ury liner SS American and bumps into his old flame Reno Sweeney (Rachel Leo
tta), Hope Harcourt, the debutante
he loves (Lauren Boshart), Hope’s fiancé Lord Evelyn Oakleigh and her mothe
r Evangeline (Nolan Callahan & Olivia DeLorenzo), the haphazard cri
minal Moonface Martin and his moll Erma (Sam Spaulding & Leah Mulle
n), and his tipsy Wall Street boss Elisha Whitney (Trent Wilkinson).Other m
