Healthy Family Week is a colaboration between local busine sses to engage the community in healthy habits. The Children's Museum of Os wego, Green Planet Grocery, Mother Earth Baby, Master Pryor's Taekwondo Ame rica, and Creation Studio are joining together to bring a whole week of exc iting activities and events for the whole family!
In addition to some great events, we will be hosting daily challenges focusing on Healthy Habi ts. All completed challenges may be turned in for some exciting prizes/offe rs from participating businesses. Healthy Family Week begins on Earth Day w ith a number of Earth Day celebrations throughout the community including Y MCA Healthy Kids Day, Mother Earth Baby's Great Cloth Diaper Change and Gre en Planet Grocery's Earth Day Celebration. It ends with the CNY Healthy Fam ily Expo on April 30th. Throughout the week, families are encouraged to par ticipate in daily Healthy Habit Challenges. These challenges will be sponso red by participating businesses. Each participant must obtain a Challenge C ard to keep track of your daily challenges. The cards may be turned in at t he end of the challenge week for a number of prizes from participating busi nesses. There is a maximum two entries per family so families may choose to either do the challenges as a single family unit or up to two children may individually enter the challenge. Completed cards will receive a $5 coupon off purchase at Green Planet Grocery and at Mother Earth Baby, a coupon fo r a free fitness class at Creation Studio, a coupon for a free fitness or c hild class at the Oswego YMCA, as well as other prizes that will be added.< /p>
Throughout the week, we would love to see photos of the challenges be ing completed. Please share what you are doing to encorporate these Healthy Habits into your day during Healthy Family Week. Remember to have fun!
