Organizers of SUNY Oswego's Mars Viewing Party at Rice Cree k Field Station's observatory July 24 to 31 have pushed back nightly start times one hour.

Weather permitting, there will now be an indoor lectu re each night at 10:30 p.m. and, from 11 p.m. to 2 a.m., opportunities to o bserve through multiple telescopes Mars in Opposition -- its closest proxim ity to Earth since 2003 -- and at least two other planets, Jupiter and Satu rn.
