URL;VALUE=URI:https://iheartoswego.com/24266/free-weekly-nature-club-great-bear-springs-r
 ecreation-area.html?tmpl=component
DESCRIPTION:\nOutdoor Life Learners continues to reach out to all areas of Central New
York. This is another one of our THURSDAY Nature Club meetups. Visit our we
 bsite calendar (https://www.outdoorlifelearners.com/oll-calendar (https://w
ww.outdoorlifelearners.com/oll-calendar)) for up to date locations througho
ut the summer.\nThe Great Bear Recreation Area is owned by the City of Fult
on and the Town of Volney. A diversity of flora and fauna, varying terrain
and the Oswego River and Oswego Canal make Great Bear a great place for non
-motorized recreation such as hiking, mountain biking and cross-country ski
ing. Great Bear is a great place to hike, walk the dog, ride a mountain bik
 e. In the winter you can ski or snowshoe. Trails are all "single track" woo
ded trails. You can also walk down the Oswego River to swim or fish.\n \n*W
e meet each Monday or Thursday for a mid-morning hike, lunch and exploring.
Locations vary, but we find ourselves mostly west of Syracuse.\nOutdoor Li
fe Learners community provides hands-on, nature-based learning opportunitie
s for children of all ages. Our nature-immersion programs are geared toward
s young kids and their caretakers, youth and teens. Weekly gatherings and h
ikes provide a classroom without walls where children are free to roam and
explore the outdoors, while skilled adults are always on hand to guide disc
ussions, introduce seasonally-relevant themes and answer inquiries from cur
ious minds.\nCheck out www.outdoorlifelearners.com for more information abo
ut our programs.\nDress for the weather! Bring a picnic lunch!\nSEE YOU OUT
