 ts of the Sterling Nature Center in search of resident and migratory birds 
 as we walk the trails and visit birding hot spots. We will search Lake Onta
 rio and its shoreline for migrating and over wintering waterfowl, eagles, a
 nd other migrating raptors. The Beaver Wetland will provide opportunities t
 o observe hooded mergansers, wood ducks and other waterfowl along with cour
 ting great blue herons and possibly nesting great horned owls. We will also
  seek out resident and early migrant bird life like pileated woodpeckers, e
 astern blue birds, belted kingfishers and American kestrels as we travel th
 rough woodlands and fields.<br />Funds raised during the Finger Lakes Birdi
 ng Festival will go to the Friends of Sterling Nature Center’s “Join Our Fl
