This program is open to people of all ages and will focus on bats. These nocturnal fliers c an eat up to half their weight in insects a night!

This program will begin inside and conclude with an outdoor portion. Participants will discov er how bats can navigate their world in darkness. During the walk through t he woods, multiple hands-on learning activities will occur. Participants wi ll gain a deeper understanding of bat roosting techniques and how they are part of the food chain in their local ecosystem. The final destination will be overlooking the pond, where time will be spent looking for any bats fli tting about.

This program offers a unique opportunity to develop a br oader understanding of these beneficial mammals. Advanced registration is e ncouraged, as space is limited.
