Oswego Library Announces Summer Reading Program

Kick Off Your Summer Reading Adventure with a Roar at the Oswego Public Library!

Oswego, New York – Join us on an expedition into the prehistoric! This year's Summer Reading program, "Unearth a Story," is your chance to dig into a good book.

Become a New Compass Member Prior to July 26 for a Chance to Win Up to $200

As part of Compass Federal Credit Union's Member Appreciation Event, taking place on Thursday, August 7, anyone that becomes a new Compass member prior to July 26 will be entered into a random drawing to step inside the credit union's inflatable Cash Vault and win up to $200.

New members of the credit union between July 1 and July 25 will be entered. The Cash Vault drawing will take place at the credit union's member event located at 131 George St. on August 7. The event will take place from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.  Members need not be present at time of drawings. Cash Vault opportunities will be scheduled for a later date.

Those looking to become a new member can do so at any Compass location.

The Compass Member Appreciation event will be a members only gathering and will be free to the first 250 registered members. Those attending must register at any Compass office between July 1 and July 25.

A catered chicken barbecue will be provided by Kristen's Kitchen, with takeout meals available. Members must present their event ticket to receive their meal. Only one meal per ticket. Purchase will not be available at the event.

Dessert will also be provided by the credit union.

Several raffles will be drawn throughout the day, including an opportunity for current members to step into the credit union's Cash Vault, with a chance to win up to $200. Other raffle drawings will include gas cards, VISA gift cards, as well as a family four pack of tickets to the Syracuse Mets.

A 50/50 raffle will also be conducted, with proceeds going to a charity of the winner's choice. A non-perishable food drive will also be part of the day.
