Born in Oswego, she is the daughter of G. Douglas (Barb) Buske of Oswego and Judy (Niziolek) Buske of Oswego.

She was a 1989 Oswego High graduate. She received her bachelor’s in Science at Oswego State; Her RN at Crouse Hospital; a 4-year degree of Nursing at Syracuse University and her Master’s Degree in Nurse Practitioner (NP) at Upstate Hospital.

Traci worked as a RN at the Oswego Hospital, she worked on the Maternity delivery floor for 15 years. She was a NP for Dr. Michael Nupuf and the Oswego County Health. She also served on the County of Oswego Council on Alcohol Addiction.

She was a loving wife and mother.

She loved spending time with family and friends and helping animals and animal shelters. She loved the fall season and the support of her friends.

Surviving, besides her parents, are her husband, Roger Aikens; a daughter, Quinn Elyse Aikens; a son, Declan Jude Aikens; a brother, Matt Buske, of Oswego; a sister, Heather Buske, of Rochester; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Calling hours will be held 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.

Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church, 7111 St. Rt. 104 Oswego. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.
