Oswego's Harborfest, New York State's Premier Admission-Free Festival, will be hosting a touring Americana group along with a tribute performance to one of the most recognizable artists of all time on the NRG Lakeview Stage.
     The Andrew and Noah Band start the day off with their refreshing and original approach to Americana music. They are a unique group consisting of mandolin, fiddle, banjo, accordion, sax, electric guitar, bass and drums. The band's mixology isn't as direct as other acts in the Americana genre. Brothers Andrew and Noah VanNorstrand write the core of the material and apply a myriad of interesting influences from Cajun to Celtic to jazz and swing. Such eclectic efforts by the Andrew and Noah Band often result in a seamless blend for their desired results.
     Closing out the day on the NRG Lakeview Stage will be "Real Diamond," a professional band dedicated to the faithful re-creation of the live Neil Diamond experience. They are obsessively passionate about providing the audience the finest Neil Diamond show short of having the man there himself. Curt Di Domizio fronts the band with a chillingly realistic Neil Diamond interpretation. The audience will be amazed and dazzled as they dance and sing along to four decades of incredible, unforgettable songs.
     The set list includes note-for-note renditions of all Neil Diamond's greatest hits including: "Cherry Cherry," "Holly Holy," "Kentucky Woman," "Cracklin Rosie," "Sweet Caroline," "America," "Love on the Rocks," "September Morn," "Solitary Man," "I'm a Believer," "Song Sung Blue," "Heartlight," "You Don't Bring Me Flowers," "If You Know What I Mean," "Thank the Lord for the Nighttime," "I Am, I Said," "Hello Again, Brother Loves Traveling Salvation Show," "Play Me," "Desiree," "Shilo," "He Ain't Heavy," "Red Red Wine," "Forever in Blue Jeans," "Beautiful Noise" and many more.
     The finishing touches are being put on the details for Sunday on the NRG Lakeview Stage but the afternoon performances, ending with Real Diamond, are sure to make for a great ending to Harborfest 2013.
