She was born in Oswego and was the daughter of the late Frank and Mildred Barker Slavery.

Mary was the widow of the late Dexter Owens.

She is survived by one daughter, Tina Louise Hughes of Syracuse, four sons Richard (Margaret) Bristol of Oswego, Patrick Bristol of Oswego, Joseph Bristol of Syracuse, Timothy Bristol of Oswego, two brothers Paul Slaver of Fulton, Frank Slaver of Oswego, one sister Rose Slaver of Fulton, four stepchildren, Jaden Owens, Daniel Owens, Jordon Owens, Lily Owens and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Due to present circumstances private burial will be in Rural Cemetery. There are no calling hours.

Arrangements are in the care of the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home.
