The problem is not finding those amazing shoes, "we just have to have." It is when we get them home and we don't know what type of shoe to pair up with what type of pant, skirt or tights. This is where Dress with Sensibility would like to share a few tips!
Shoes: | Pants: | Skirts: | Tights: |
Pointy | Trousers or Wide-Legs | Pencil, A-line, Knee Length | Any |
Almond | Straight, Skinny, Cropped | Any | Any |
Round | Crop, Straight, Skinny | Knee length or higher | Any |
Peep Toe | Any | Knee length or lower | Opaque |
Open | Any | Maxi, A-line, Mini(after hours, of course) | Opaque |
Let the pointy shoe peek out from the Trousers or wide-legs for a long lean line. The soft curve of the Almond shoe lengthens your legs without looking harsh with any skirt. Evoke the 'Audrey' or 'Jackie O' by pairing the round toe shoes with a crisp crop! The round shoe will also allow you to show a little leg so you don't look stumpy by keeping the length of your skirt at your knee or higher. Ankle pants set off a strap sandal nicely. The open-strap shoe adds a dash of breezy coolness to any skirt.
Ladies, I hope this helps a little with the challenge of pairing shoes with your outfits. However, keep in mind no matter whatever you wear, wear it with confidence and a smile that will leave you looking amazing!
