“We will have all the great activities that fest-‐goers have come to love, with a new foot print for the festival!” says Nathan Emmons, festival chair. This year’s festival will have a single location at Elim Grace Church, located at 340 West 1st Street. which allows for both indoor and outdoor activities along with plenty of parking. Indoor and outdoor activities will happen throughout the afternoon and the festival will cap off the day’s entertainment with world famous Pyrotechnico fireworks at 6pm over the Oswego River.
Inside events include performances, magic, music, a live broadcast of “On The Porch Radio Hour,” hot and spicy food vendors, 30 vendors, Hot Chili Cook Off, children’s activities and demonstrations from 11am until 5pm. Outdoor activities will include a family fun run/walk along the West Riverwalk, GeoCaching Hunt in the Snow, snow bowling, snow man making and more!
Back for it’s 11th year is the Downtown Hot Scavenger/Treasure Hunt, sponsored by Shop Oswego Live Oswego (SOLO) with a grand prize worth $1000, donated by JP Jewelers. More than 25 area businesses are participating this year. The scavenger hunt will begin a week prior, giving hunters an entire week to visit the stores, find the chili pepper, match the right clue to the business and get there passport stamped. Drawing for the grand prize will be at 4:45 on February 6th at Elim Grace Church. Completed passports must be turned into the information desk in Elim Grace by 4pm on festival day. Hot Scavenger Hunt forms can be picked up the participating businesses beginning on February 1st or online www.WarmUpOswegoFestival.com Forms will also be available at noon on festival day at the information booths.
