Also considered are Oswego varsity teams that had major accomplishments.

For athletes, a 10-year waiting period is required for induction from the time leaving OHS.

Here are profiles of those chosen for induction into the Class of 2015.

Katie Frawley

Frawley was best known as one of the best softball pitchers and players in the region. Among her many softball honors, she was All-CNY Player of the Year, third-team all state, and Coca-Cola CNY Scholar-Athlete of the Year. She ranks first in career pitching victories (52) in the storied history of Buccaneer softball. Frawley was also a productive hitter, and ranks second in school history in career hits.

Her contributions in soccer and basketball were also noteworthy. In soccer, Frawley earned team Defensive MVP and overall MVP honors, twice was a first-team all-league selection, and made the Section III all-star team as a senior. On the basketball court, she earned all-league honorable mention three times and received awards for her hustle, sportsmanship, and leadership.

Beyond the numbers, those nominating Frawley cited her drive and her team-first approach, saying that she was an inspiration to her teammates.

She went on to a fine softball career at Illinois Wesleyan, and now coaches high school softball at T.C. Williams High School in Alexandria, Va., while working full time for the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics.

Anthony Richmond

Richmond was one of the key players for Oswego’s varsity soccer team that won the Section III championship in 1981. The midfielder captained the Bucs as a junior and senior, earning first-team all-league honors both years, and second-team all-state recognition as a senior.

Training year-round with clubs both indoors and outdoors, Richmond helped Oswego grow to become a championship team. The Bucs won league titles in 1981 and 1982, and the sectional crown in 1981. Richmond set benchmarks in goals and assists to lead the way.

He also played basketball, baseball, and tennis for Oswego, serving as team captain in basketball as a senior. After high school, Richmond played soccer at the University of Massachusetts-Amherst. In his coaching career he has led youth travel teams and has coached at the high school and college levels. He is presently the head coach of the women’s soccer team at Onondaga Community College, and is the director of the More Than A Game Foundation, which raises money to fight cancer.

Stephen Jermyn

Jermyn was a first-team all-league performer and MVP in both football and basketball at Oswego.

As a junior on the football team, the Buc quarterback led the league in completions and passed for more than 1,000 yards. He was also a first-team all-league defensive back, and the team’s MVP. His junior basketball season saw him average 18.4 points per game (2nd in the league), shooting 59 percent from the field. He earned first-team all-league and team MVP honors.

In his senior football season, Jermyn again led the league in completions and threw for more than 1,000 yards, winning team MVP honors. He made the first-team all-league defense and was a second-team All-Upstate selection. In basketball, Jermyn averaged 19.6 points per game and was a first-team all-league choice. He was the team’s MVP. He finished his basketball career with 887 points, the school record at that time.

Jermyn also played baseball for the Bucs. As a senior he was named the OHS Athlete of the Year.

He went on to SUNY Albany and played four years of varsity basketball, serving as co-captain in his senior season.

He is currently vice president of sales for Alliance Technology Group in Hanover, Md., and has been active coaching youth basketball, lacrosse, and football in the area.

Billy Drumm Sr.

Drumm is being honored posthumously for his achievements in multiple sports.

He played three years of varsity baseball and was a tremendous hitter. He led the Bucs in batting two years in a row and posted a .422 average. Those nominating Drumm described him as a “magician” with the glove, a second baseman with sure hands and great range.

Drumm also excelled in football and basketball, helping his teams to championships. He broke track and field records in the high jump and long jump.

One of those nominating Drumm for induction said he was “the catalyst” for every team on which he played — a playmaking guard in basketball, a middle infielder in baseball, and a defensive back and back-up quarterback in football.

He coached Babe Ruth baseball for many years, and his team won the championship four years in a row. He also starred as a fast-pitch softball player and was inducted into the Oswego Softball Hall of Fame.

Donna Clark Gayne

Scoring sensation Donna Clark Gayne keyed Oswego’s rise to the Section III elite in varsity girls soccer in the early 1980s. In her sophomore year, she tallied 13 goals and 12 assists as the Bucs shared the league championship. The next year, she had 14 goals and four assists as league-champion Oswego went 14-2. Then in her senior year, she netted a school-record 21 goals to go along with seven assists. The Bucs finished 18-1, winning the league title and reaching the sectional finals. She was a first-team all-league selection all three of those years.

She also played volleyball and softball at Oswego High School. She helped the softball team win two league titles and a Section III crown. Twice, she was a first-team all-league volleyball player.

She went on to star in soccer at Oswego State, finishing her career with 48 goals and 104 points. She served as captain for two years, and was the SUNY Athletic Conference Western Division MVP in 1988. In 2012, she was inducted into the college’s athletic hall of fame. She has served as a coach in Oswego and Phoenix for girl’s soccer, volleyball, and hockey.
