James F. Cook Sr., 53, a resident of Oswego, passed away April 7, 2015.
Born in Oswego, he was the son of Robert J. (Maria) Cook of Oswego and the late Constance B. (Lawton) Cook. Jimmy previously worked as a laborer at Nine Mile Point. He enjoyed the outdoors and spent his free time walking and biking. He also enjoyed going to the movies. He loved his family, the holidays, and special time with his grandchildren. His family loved him dearly and he will be greatly missed.
Surviving, besides his father, are a son, James F. Jr. of Fulton; a brother, Robert (Colleen) Cook of Oswego; two sisters, Sandra St. Germain (Donald Schmidt) of Brewerton; Debra (Michael) McKeon of Madison, Alabama; a step-brother Sam (Jeanne) Cook of Oswego; step-sisters, Deborah (Paul) Griffin of New Port Richie, FL; Lee (Dave) Maniccia of Oswego; Tammy (Don) Goins, of Elkton, KY; Holly (Chris) Downing of Mt. Juliet, TN; Francesca (James) Elmore of Boca Raton, FL; two grandchildren, Jalena and Jaden Parkurst; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
He was predeceased by a sister, Katharyne Cook and stepmother, Barbara Jean Cook.
Funeral Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, at the Church of the Resurrection. Burial will be held at St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 2-5 p.m. Sunday at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
