Local scouter, James Loomis was honored at the Ontario District's dinner on June 10th, 2016. James was awarded the Cub Scouter of the Year Award for Longhouse Council, Ontario District for his dedication and involvement.
This distinguished award honors an adult who goes above and beyond to support and promote scouting. James not only assists many of the area scouting groups but is also an active member of the Ontario District's board to further provide and promote the scouting experience. James also provides guidance and direction as the Leader of Cub Scout Pack 885 in Oswego.
James' life-long passion for scouting is evident in the extensive effort he makes to provide local scouting units and the district with a quality program for all Central New York youth.
The Boy Scouts of America and the Oswego community applaud the quality contributions that James' provides and the upstanding character that the B.S.A. strives to encourage among all scouts.
