Jeanette D. Fitzsimmons, 87, a resident of S.W. Ninth St. Oswego, passed away November 29, 2013 at her home.
Born in Oswego, she was the daughter of the late Julian and Anne (Talamo) DiMiero.
She worked at SUNY Oswego as a Secretary for 25 years, retiring in 1989.
Jeanette enjoyed golf, traveling, knitting, playing cards and spending time with her family.
Surviving are her daughter, Ann Fitzsimmons of Oswego; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Fitzsimmons, three brothers, Nicholas, Anthony and Julian DiMiero and a sister, Angeline DiMiero Miller.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at the Oswego Hospital and also the Friends of Oswego County Hospice for their loving care.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Nelson Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Peter's Cemetery.
Calling hours will be held 3-7 p.m. Monday, at the Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
