The City of Fulton also adopted a resolution declaring June 6 a city-wide day of recognition.
Corporal Barrett was a native of Fulton who went on to earn the Congressional Medal of Honor, our nation’s highest recognition of valor, for his bravery and selflessness while in service to our country during World War II. On D-Day, he saved many lives without pausing to think of his own safety.
There will be a ceremony recognizing Corporal Barrett's bravery and service at Veterans Park (across from City Hall) tonight at 6pm.
We welcome you to come and honor our Fulton hero.
