Oswego Kartway`s Championship point season will kick-off this Friday, April 25 at 7:30pm presented by Gater Racing News. Over 60 entries took on the Kartway last Friday at the track's non-point warm-up event, only to see the night's main events washed out due to rain.

Nearly 80 entries are expected this coming Friday at the Bullring, as teams prepare to earn points for season long track championship honors and other season ending awards.

Friday night's racing also marks the first event counting toward the Oswego Kartway Driver Rewards program, featuring two brand new Slack Xpect racing chassis from Root Racing Enterprises and Performance Manufacturing, which will be awarded to two lucky drivers at the season ending championship banquet.

A 14 division racing card is on the docket for Friday night, including a new junior racing division.

Jr. Purple Clone will be added to the racing schedule as a middle ground between Jr. Green Clone and Jr. Blue Clone. The Jr. Purple class will run at 275 lbs. with drivers ranging in ages between 7-11 years old.

Other junior classes include Sr. Blue Clone and Gold Plate flathead.

Senior racing divisions will include Stock Light, Stock Heavy, Stock 425, Clone Light, Clone Heavy, Clone 425, BSP Clone (open pipe, open clutch), Open, and Champ Kart.

Pit gates will open for competitors beginning at 4:30pm with hot laps scheduled to hit the Kartway at 6:30pm. Racing is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm.

Entry fees for Kartway members will be set at $15 while non-member entry fees are $18, with pit passes included. Pit passes will also be available for spectators for just $10.

Friday night's racing program will see heat race lineups determined by a pill draw, with feature lineups starting straight up from heat race finishes.

As always spectators are welcome to come to the Kartway and enjoy the racing action with a full concession stand available.

As of Monday afternoon, Kartway officials are still determining whether or not car load spectator parking will be permitted due to wet grounds. More information will be posted as soon as it becomes available.

Kartway events run April through September on most Friday nights, culminating with the Fall Frenzy 200 Championships on Saturday, September 20.
