The Kartway will present matching Slack Xpect chassis as the grand prizes of this year's Rewards Program through the collaboration of Root Racing Enterprises, Performance Manufacturing, and Slack Karts.
This year's grand prizes will be split between senior and junior classes, with one chassis being awarded to a senior driver aged 15 and up, and the other chassis being awarded to a junior driver aged 14 and under.
The program will again be participation based, as member drivers with perfect attendance in Junior Green Clone, Junior and Senior Blue Clone, and Gold Plate will be eligible to win one chassis while those drivers with perfect attendance in the remaining senior classes will be eligible to win the other.
"Since Jim Losurdo and the team at Oswego Kartway began this program back in 2012, it was always the goal to have a youngster walk out of our championship banquet with a big smile on his or her face as the owner of a brand new kart," said Kartway promoter, Dan Kapuscinski. "This year with the help of John and Eric Torrese at Oswego Speedway, Kevin Root of Root Racing Enterprises and everyone at Performance Manufacturing and Slack Karts, we will be able to make that happen."
Perfect attendance must be attained between the Kartway's season points 'Kick-Off' event on Friday, April 25 and the 8th annual Oswego Kartway Classic on Thursday, August 28.
There will only be one chance available per racer, as running in multiple classes will not earn the driver more chances at winning the chassis. Those who make a legitimate attempt to race on a given night will count as a show-up, allowing for possible technical issues during warm-ups.
Drivers can switch classes at any time during the season and still be eligible, as long as they attend all 15 events.
"Not only does this new development guarantee that a junior driver will earn a new kart, it also gives our senior division drivers a greater probability of walking away with their own kart," said Kapuscinski. "All of us at Oswego Kartway continue to strive to provide good, fair, and affordable racing, while trying to give back as much as we can to our loyal racers."
Those who are unable to make all 15 races during the 2014 Driver Rewards Program will still be eligible for other prizes at the year-end championship banquet.
A second tier of eligibility will be set-up for those drivers missing one race, while a third tier will also be in place for drivers missing two races. Prizes for these two categories will be announced as they develop.
The second and third tiers of the program will be collective tiers, including both junior and senior racers as in the past.
If you miss three races during the posted dates, you will not be eligible for the 2014 Driver Rewards Program.
