     School-aged children love animals.

Recently, Kingsford Park Elementary School teacher Mary Ann Bullard enjoyed watching her students come to the aid animals in need.
"My students wanted to help 'Paws Across Oswego County' and the students realized that the animals can't help themselves," Bullard said. "There is nothing but unconditional love when you own a pet and my students simply wanted to do something special."
So, by doing odd jobs around the house her second graders were able to raise a generous contribution to "Paws Across Oswego County."
Among the students involved in the fundraising project were Riley Bandla, Kamryn Bletch, Andres Colon, Tristan Beebe, Nathan Frey, Alberto Gonzalez, Sydney Hoefer, Jacquelyn Livingston, Rylie Mangano, Logan Mathews, Kelwin Reyes, Ainsley Sailer, Natasha Schroeder and Marisa Wallace.
The PAOC organization purpose is to assist local animal shelters through the donation and voluntary services, promote responsible pet ownership through education and special program, assist the local community and animal shelters in the spaying and neutering of companion animals by monetary and material donations and voluntary services.
Among the goals are to work for humane education and owner responsibility, achieve 100 percent pre-adoption for spaying and neutering and make the availability of spaying and neutering clinics to Oswego County residents while establishing controlled breeding ordinances.
