Last Chance to Register: Solar & Ag Energy Workshop Next Thursday

There is still time and room to register for Cornell Cooperative Extension of Oswego County’s upcoming energy workshop on Thursday, May 28, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Stefano’s Pizzeria in Mexico, NY.

The workshop features three expert presenters from CCE Tompkins who will help local farmers make informed decisions to lower operating costs and optimize energy use.

Key Topics Include:

• Farm Energy Assessments: Learn how to maximize efficiency and use assessment results to make sound investments (led by Gabriel Gurley, Ag Energy NY).

• On-Farm Wind Energy: Explore small-scale distributed wind systems, implementation costs, and available incentives (led by Jordan Clements, Distributed Wind Educator).

• Solar & Agrivoltaics: Navigate the solar leasing process, address impacts on farmland, and discover the latest research on growing crops under solar panels (led by Guillermo Metz, Ag & Solar Senior Resource Educator).

Event Details:

• Cost: $5 per person (includes a light dinner).
