Obituaries

Lloyd J. Rushford, 78, a resident of Minetto, NY, passed away Sunday, February 16, 2025 in Syracuse.

Lloyd was born in Tahawus, NY, the son of the late William and Louella (Parnell) Rushford.

He is survived by his wife, Jean (Sorrell) Rushford; and his children Sandra Peabody (husband Craig Peabody), LauraLynn Rushford, Rosemary Brock (husband Doug Brock), Lloyd J. Rushford Jr., Tina Pietrowski (husband Scott Pietrowski), Kyle J. Rushford (wife Michelle Rushford), and Fredrick Adams (adopted son); step-children Scott Patnode, Mark Patnode, Erica Martin and Todd Patnode; 16 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Sheryl McGuirk, Bill Rushford (sister in law Christine Rushford) and Gary Rushford (sister in law Sandy Rushford)

He was predeceased by Christina Rushford (daughter) and Justin Robles (grandchild); and siblings Darlene Rushford, Stanley Rushford, Lee Rushford, Wanda Lutz and Sylvia Pohalski. 

Lloyd worked for Ford Motor Company for many years.  He loved to work with his hands designing and building furniture. He was a great artist who loved to paint murals and drew all the time.  

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at noon Friday, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Minetto.

Burial will be in the spring in Chateaugay, NY.

Calling hours will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 Friday, prior to the Mass, at the Dain-Cullinan Funeral Home, 112 East Second Street in Oswego, NY.
