SPAGHETTI & SOFTBALLS? Michaela Bradshaw (seated left) and Kennedy Shurtleff (seated right) help plan the upcoming spaghetti dinner for the Oswego High School girls' softball team. Dinner will be served from 5:00 - 7:00 pm on Tuesday, November 15 at the Elks' Lodge. The event is a community effort featuring Canale's spaghetti; meatballs courtesy of Bosco's and Davis Meats; Garafolo's Italian bread; and salad provided by C's Farms. Looking on are Maria Johnson of C's Farms and Nick Canale, Jr. of Canale's. Tickets can be obtained from any OHS softball player or at the door. Adult dinners are $9, children ages 6-12 and senior citizens $8.

Oswego High School softball senior Maddy Rahn (left) hands teammate Haley Baker (in the chicken mask) a ticket to the team's annual fall chicken BBQ to be held on Sunday, September 18 at Gibby's Pub on Lake Street in Oswego. The menu includes Gibby's famous chicken, along with baked beams, salt potatoes, a roll, and dessert. Proceeds from the event help support OHS Lady Buccaneer softball.

"HAMMING" IT UP FOR CHICKEN BBQ--The returning seniors on the OHS varsity softball team, along with an unexpected visitor (far right of photo) recently got together to plan the team's chicken barbeque to be held on Sunday, March 6 at Gibby's Irish Pub starting at noon. Proceeds from the barbeque will help defray the coast of the team's spring training trip to Florida later in March.
