Orchestra to perform music from famous Italian composers

     SUNY Oswego's College-Community Orchestra will present a concert of joyful Italian classical music at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 5, at the Church of the Resurrection, 120 W. Fifth St. in Oswego.

     Conductor Juan F. La Manna, SUNY Oswego associate professor of music, will lead the orchestra in selections from famous Italian composers, including Antonio Vivaldi's "Concerto for Two Violins," Gioachino Rossini's overtures from "The Barber of Seville" and "The Italian Girl in Algiers" as as well as "Variations for Clarinet," and Giovanni Battista Pergolesi's "Sinfonia da Lo Frate 'Nnamorato."
     Donations may be made at the door to benefit the music department's Excellence Fund scholarships.
