Write a commentOswego Community Christian School is celebrating its first graduating senior on Friday, June 17, 2022 at New Covenant Community Church at 51 East Oneida Street in Oswego, NY at 7:00pm.
OCCS Principal, David Proietti recognized the limited opportunity to obtain a Christian education through high school in Oswego County, and in so doing, partnered with Liberty University Online Academy to provide an online high school option to their students.
Since this recent partnership with LUOA, the students at OCCS have continued to be a part of the Oswego community by participating in local service projects and mentoring to the younger students by assisting with special days, Reading Buddies, and classroom projects. Through the accredited, online Dual Enrollment program, students can work toward an associate degree through Liberty University Online while completing all high school coursework. By taking college courses during their junior and senior years, students can obtain an associate degree awarded by Liberty University.
On Friday, June 17, 2022 as OCCS’s first senior, Abigail McDonald will graduate with a combined LUOA/OCCS high school diploma as well as a Liberty University Associate of Arts - Business degree. In the fall, Abigail will attend Liberty University in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design.
OCCS is currently accepting new students, Preschool-12th grade for the 2022-2023 school year. OCCS is also still accepting students, grades K-12, for their new full day Homeschool Extension Program on Fridays, beginning fall of 2022.
