The Oswego County Soil and Water Conservation District held its 36th annual Conservation Field Day at Selkirk Shores State Park on Sept. 19.

Each year, fifth-grade students from every school district in the county are invited to participate in the event to learn more about the environment and develop an appreciation for the county’s natural resources. Students visited a range of stations offering presentations and activities. Pictured are students participating in the “Tea Bag Tannins Experiment” at the Upstate Freshwater Institute’s station presented by Monica Caves and Vanessa Shores.
