The Oswego County Legislature's Health and Human Services Committee presented a proclamation designating the month of November as Runaway Prevention Month in Oswego County to members of Oswego County Opportunities, Inc.
Throughout the county, there are more than 400 runaway or homeless young people who have the least access to healthy development opportunities and supports. Working together, citizens and communities can raise awareness about this issue and limit its occurrence by guiding them toward available and necessary resources and empowering them to make safe, healthy and productive choices.
If you or someone you know needs assistance, call the 24-hour Runaway and Homeless Youth Hotline at 1-877-342-7618.
