Guest bassist Dave Welsch will join Oswego Jazz Project at 3 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4, in Sheldon Hall ballroom for the season's second SUNY Oswego Focus on Faculty concert.

Welsch has played with Oswego Jazz Project in the past, as well as with the Ronnie Leigh Quartet, Mario DeSantis, Dave Welsch & Like Minds, and many more.

The three Oswego music faculty members in the combo -- drummer Eric Schmitz, Trevor Jorgensen on saxophone and Robert Auler on piano -- promise an exploration of repertoire new to Oswego Jazz Project, including standards as well as pieces written in the past 10 years.

"The performance is appropriate for all ages, and we invite the community to join us in continuing our celebration of America's greatest art form: jazz," said Schmitz.

Tickets for this and any Focus on Faculty concert in the series are $8 ($5 for SUNY Oswego students), available at all college box offices, online at tickets.oswego.edu or by calling 315-312-2141. Parking is included in the price of a ticket, and is available in the lots adjacent to and across Washington Boulevard from Sheldon Hall.

People with disabilities needing assistance should call 315-312-2141 in advance of the performance.
