The Kartway's Mitchell's Speedway Press 'Kick-Off' on May 3 was a tremendous success with a total of 84 entries taking the green flag between 11 different classes of racing. One of those classes was the Clone Super Heavy division; a recent addition to the Kartway's racing line-up.

     Last Friday night's Kartway racing was cancelled due to the poor weather forecast, which ultimately proved to be correct. A very heavy round of showers came through the Oswego area on May 10 at around 7:30 p.m., which would have brought any racing to a halt.

     Between the non-point season opener April 26 and the Kartway 'Kick-Off' May 3, Oswego Kartway brought in a total of 153 entries for two great nights of racing. With a clear forecast in sight for this Friday, another great field of racing karts is expected to be on hand.

     Currently the 2013 championship standings are led by Joshua Ostrander (Sr. Blue Clone), Dylan Trump (Jr. Silver Clone), Alex Losurdo (Jr. Blue Clone), Matthew Barbour (Gold Plate), Dan Kapuscinski (Stock Heavy), Jason Moll (Clone Heavy & Clone Super Heavy), Cris Lane (Animal), Pete Palmieri (Clone Light), Alan Lane (Open) and Chris Natoli (Stock Light).

     Pit gates open at 4:30 p.m., Friday, May 17, with hot laps beginning at 6:30 p.m. and racing at 7:30 p.m.

     Kartway events run April through September on most Friday nights, culminating with the Fall Frenzy 150 Friday, Sept. 20.
