The Oswego State Department of Athletics has named Dan Kapuscinski (pronounced kap-uh-ZIHN-skee) its next public address announcer for men's ice hockey games. Kapuscinski replaces 19-year veteran Bill Foley behind the microphone, following Foley's retirement after the 2015-16 season.

A 2007 graduate of St. John Fisher College in Rochester, N.Y., Kapuscinski holds a degree in Communications. During his time at Fisher, Kapuscinski worked as a PA announcer for several of the college's programs, including its basketball programs.

Kapuscinski has local ties, graduating from Oswego High School in 2003. Despite spending most of his childhood in Columbus, Ohio, Kapuscinski would visit his father – an Oswego resident – during summers to catch races at the speedway. Upon moving back to the area in 1998, Kapuscinski drove at Oswego Speedway from 2001-2007. Following his graduation from college, Kapuscinski went to work for the World Racing Group, based in Concord, NC, where he handled public relations and digital media. In 2012, he moved back home to become the Public Relations Director at Oswego Speedway. In this role, Kapuscinski handles everything from press release writing, to event promotion and management, as well as digital and print ad production. He has also had the opportunity to act as the pit reporter for Oswego Speedway's national broadcasts on SPEED SPORT and MAVTV.

A dedicated Laker men's ice hockey fan, Kapuscinski rarely missed a home game in the early 2000s at Romney Field House. He even followed the team to Vermont in 2003 to watch the squad take on Middlebury and Norwich in the Frozen Four.

Fans, do not a miss a minute of action at the Marano Campus Center Arena and the opportunity to hear the new voice of Oswego State men's ice hockey by signing up for season tickets.
