For the second year in a row, Oswego Speedway has been nominated by Speed51.com for Best Short Track/Series Social Media in the United States.
After winning the category in 2016 to beat out the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series, NASCAR Home Tracks, PASS, and Madison International Speedway, new public relations director Camden Proud is excited to be in the running again.
“As part of last year’s 51’s, Oswego Speedway was able to capture both the ‘Best Short Track’ and ‘Best Social Media’ Awards,” Proud noted. “Less than a year into my new position at the track, it’s an honor to be in the running again and we encourage all of our fans to visit Speed51.com and vote for Oswego. Speedway management gives our hats off to the staff at Speed 51 for doing a great job with these awards each season. It’s great to see everyone get on and support their favorite short track or series.”
‘The Steel Palace’ joins the Artic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions, Chili Bowl, Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series, Stafford Motor Speedway, USAC and the World of Outlaws, among others, in what will surely see tight voting to the end of the awards.
On top of being nominated for best social media, a defending Oswego champion is also in the running for an award in the ‘The 51’s as 2017 Novelis Supermodified champ Dave Shullick Jr. has been selected as a nominee for Short Track Local Driver of the Year in stiff competition alongside the likes of Danny Dietrich, Dave Darling, Keith Rocco, Rocky Warner and more.
Voting for ‘The 51’s’ will continue through the weekend and end on Sunday, March 4 at 11:59pm EST. You may vote once every 24 hours for each award at Speed51.com/2017-51s/.
