Two Oswego Middle School students and eight Oswego High School students traveled to Cortland, New York this past weekend to perform in the region's Junior High Area All State Band, Orchestra, and Chorus Festival.

The students were chosen based on their New York State School Music Association scores from their solo performances that took place last May.

There are 39 school districts involved in the Central New York Region, and it was a significant honor for the students to be chosen to play with some of the best of the best from so many schools. The students were given very demanding music to learn, and they had the opportunity to work with very reputable guest conductors.
