The Oswego YMCA, 249 W. First St., is expected to re-open on Wednesday after an unfortunate roof leak halted all activities in the building on Saturday, Jan. 24.
An engineer inspected the building and deemed it “structurally sound,” after the outside brick separated from the building foundation due to the leak, according to a report by Time Warner Cable News.
Repair for the building is set to begin on Monday. Before the YMCA opens its doors to its members, the city must first approve the structural engineer report to maintain the safety of the building, members and staff alike.
