Pathfinder Bank is pleased to announce two new hires, a key promotion, and an internal role shift within the Bank’s Residential Lending team.

These strategic enhancements reinforce the Bank’s commitment to providing expert guidance, personalized service, and flexible home financing solutions for communities across Onondaga and Oswego Counties.

By growing the Bank’s team and utilizing local knowledge, Pathfinder Bank strengthens its ability to guide borrowers through each phase of homeownership. These changes further the Bank’s dedication to serving seasoned and first-time customers by offering the resources and support needed to make informed financial decisions.

As part of this initiative, Joleen DiBartolo has been promoted to Vice President, Residential Mortgage Team Leader at Pathfinder Bank. Reporting to Ronald G. Tascarella, First Vice President, Chief Lending Officer; DiBartolo now leads the Residential Lending team, overseeing sales administration and mortgage origination efforts.

Since stepping into this leadership role in 2024, DiBartolo has driven measurable growth in mortgage lending, strengthened internal processes, and fostered a culture of collaboration within her team. A dedicated member of Pathfinder Bank since 2006, she has held several key roles within the residential lending department, including Loan Processor, Closing Coordinator, Underwriter, and Residential Mortgage Lender.

With DiBartolo’s guidance leading the team’s continued growth, the Bank is proud to introduce two new residential lenders who play key roles in expanding its service to the community.

  • Gregorio Jimenez has joined Pathfinder Bank’s Residential Lending Team as a Residential Mortgage Lender, now serving the Syracuse Market while working out of the Bank’s Southwest Syracuse Branch. Jimenez brings a strong background in mortgage lending and financial counseling, having previously worked as an Account Manager for Quickline Capital. A dedicated advocate for the Syracuse Near Westside and Latino communities, he was honored with the 2019 Ana Thompson Community Activist Award for his impactful work. Jimenez is focused on educating individuals and families navigating the home loan process while strengthening relationships within the Southwest Corridor of Syracuse.
  • Matthew Prell has joined the team as a Residential Mortgage Lender, bringing extensive experience in residential lending. Previously serving as Assistant Vice President, Mortgage Loan Officer at Solvay Bank, Prell has strong ties to Onondaga County. Prell works out of the Bank’s newest location, located at 6611 Manlius Center Road in East Syracuse. In addition to originating residential home loans, Prell is furthering Pathfinder Bank’s commitment to financial education by participating in seminars, networking events, and community initiatives.

As part of our continued efforts to strengthen our lending presence, Reyne Pierce has joined the Residential Lending Team as a Residential Mortgage Lender after more than 30 years in consumer lending, most recently as Vice President of Consumer Lending for Pathfinder Bank. Pierce is leveraging her extensive experience to expand the Bank’s reach and better support homebuyers in the Clay region, working out of the Clay Branch location.

Additionally, Daniel Capella remains dedicated to serving Oswego County, furthering Pathfinder Bank’s longstanding commitment to the area. With his in-depth knowledge of the region and personalized approach, Capella continues to be a trusted resource for homeowners and homebuyers throughout the community.
