Pathfinder Bank is the oldest financial institution in Oswego County, opening as Oswego City Savings Bank in 1859. Through an innovative philosophy and listening closely to customers, Pathfinder Bank has remained a step ahead of others in the banking industry aiming to provide all of the advanced conveniences of national banks without the hassles.
Gosek Racing co-owner Al Archer is pleased to have Pathfinder Bank back on board the No. 00 in 2013, as they search for another Speedway track championship.
"We would like to thank Tom Schneider and Jim Dowd for their continued partnership," Archer said. "We could not be a winning race team without our sponsors and their support. Pathfinder Bank is so supportive of not just racing at Oswego Speedway, but their employees are also heavily involved as volunteers for many organizations including Meals on Wheels, the MS Foundation, Juvenile Diabetes Research, our schools, and many other civic organizations. They truly are a bright spot in our community."
Gosek Racing, with two-time track champion and Indianapolis 500 veteran Joe Gosek at the wheel, collected two main event wins at Oswego Speedway in 2012. With those two victories Gosek now stands at 42 career Oswego Supermodified wins, jumping one ahead of Oswego Speedway and Syracuse Sports Hall of Famer, Nolan Swift.
After claiming the 2011 Novelis Supermodified track championship, Gosek was in the hunt for another title in 2012 until disaster struck mid-season with a vicious crash, all but destroying the Pathfinder Bank No. 00. The Gosek team would rebound, however, rebuilding their machine and bouncing back to claim victory in the final points paying event of the 2012 season last August.
Gosek ended the 2012 season fifth in the final driver standings.
The Gosek Racing team is ready for another championship assault in 2013, which will kick-off this Saturday, May 11, with Mitchell's Speedway Press/CJ Ferlito Aggregates Night at the Speedway.
