Radical Race Gear has committed to continued support of the International Supermodified Association for the 2019 season.

Based in Greensboro, NC, Radical Race Gear offers everything a racer needs from race suits, helmets, shoes, gloves, restraints, gear, crew shirts, and other accessories.

Radical will again be supplying shirts for ISMA officials and officers this season, along with providing additional support for select events and assisting ISMA at the PRI show in December.

“Supers are the coolest race cars on the planet,” said Butch Lamb of Radical Race Gear. “I grew up in Oswego and am happy to be a part of the race cars I love so much. Radical Race Gear is proud to partner with ISMA for the 2019 season and wishes good luck to all of the teams.”

Lamb and Radical Race Gear will also sponsor the No. 28 ISMA Supermodified driven by Eric Lewis throughout the year. The Lewis car is expected at six to eight ISMA events with backing from Radical Race Gear. Lewis and Lamb have maintained a close friendship for several years.

If you plan to attend the Syracuse Motorsports Expo this weekend, Radical Race Gear will have a booth at the event joining the ISMA Supermodifieds. The Jason Simmons Racing No. 98T, piloted by last season’s rookie of the year Tyler Thompson, will be displayed.

The Motorsports Expo will run from 10am to 8pm on Saturday, March 9 and again from 11am to 4pm on Sunday, March 10. Tickets are $13 for adults, $5 for kids 6-12 years of age, and FREE for children under the age of 5. A two day pass is available for $20.

ISMA’s first event of the 2019 season will be the Harvey Lennox Memorial at the Delaware Speedway in Ontario on Saturday, June 15. A full schedule is posted on the ISMA website.

About the International Supermodified Association: ISMA was founded in 1974 by multi-time Oswego Speedway champions Jim Shampine and Nolan Swift to ensure the future and longevity of Supermodified racing. Powered by their earth shaking 900 horsepower engines, the winged Supermodified is one of the fastest short track race cars in the world capable of reaching speeds up to 160mph. Through 45 seasons of operation, ISMA continues to be one of the most popular, well recognized touring series in short track racing. The organization has eleven events scheduled at nine different facilities this season that include stops in New York, New Hampshire, Ohio, Connecticut, and Ontario.
