Janet Allen, president and founder of Habitat Gardening in Central New York, will present "Habitat Gardening" at 2 p.m. May 2. Those attending will learn how to provide habitat for birds, butterflies and other creatures. One project of Allen's organization is to plant milkweed for monarch butterfly habitat.

At 2 p.m. June 27, Dr. Andrew Nelson, retired director of Rice Creek Field Station and emeritus professor of SUNY Oswego's biological sciences department, will give a presentation titled "Exploring Special Habitat" about unique habitat in the Oswego area.

Light refreshments will be served at both sessions of Rice Creek Reflections.

The driving entrance to Rice Creek, its biological field station and 400 acres of varied terrain, is on Thompson Road about one mile south of State Route 104, just west of the main SUNY Oswego entrance.
