The third jazz show at the Oswego Music Hall this season is on Saturday, November 11th, and will feature The Ronnie Leigh Quartet.

The Oswego Music Hall's Guest Curator Series has enabled the lakeside venue to expose audiences to a wider variety of performers and musical styles. 

David Kaspar of Syracuse has been the Guest Curator of Jazz By The Lake, which has brought some of the top jazz artists in Central New York to the Music Hall stage. 

The third jazz show this season is on Saturday, November 11th, and will feature The Ronnie Leigh Quartet.

"If you ask me," Kaspar said, "when you talk about the best male jazz vocalists in Syracuse there is one name - Ronnie Leigh."

iHeart Oswego talked with Ronnie recently,  and he spoke very highly of the musicians who will be performing with him. "My keyboard player is Dino Losito. He accompanies me whenever I perform," he said. "... and we'll be joined by two great players - Peter Chwazic on bass and Joshua Dekaney on drums."

When asked about what the audience might hear during his performance, Leigh thought for a moment and said, "It could be anything from standards to smooth jazz, from Monk to Al Jarreau." He continued, "There might be some Dizzy or Earth, Wind & Fire somewhere in the mix, too."

When asked about his performing schedule, Leigh said that he keeps busy. "I don't travel much lately, but between public and private events we're out there several times a month"

Leigh, who has been performing for five decades in the CNY area, has been inducted into SAMMY Hall of Fame. He has performed all across the United States, and even internationally. An original member of the legendary Syracuse r&b group Atlas Linen Company, he made his Oswego debut at the now-defunct Old City Hall in 1982. 

"I've performed a few times in Oswego over the years, but never at The Music Hall," Leigh said. "I'm looking forward to the show. I've heard good things."
