Nurses from the St. Luke Health Services Adult Day Health Care Program will offer free blood pressure and blood glucose screenings during the Oswego Farmer’s Market on Thursday, August 18th from 4:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The screenings will be offered at the St. Luke bus, near the Civic Plaza.

“I encourage anyone who is interested in receiving valuable health screenings to stop and see us,” said Sherry Harrison, St. Luke’s Adult Day Health Care Program Director. “The screenings are free of charge and take only a few minutes, and the information can be helpful with monitoring your overall health.”

St. Luke staff will be available to answer questions about screening results, and the services provided by the St. Luke’s Adult Day Health Care program.

Ms. Harrison added, “Our adult day care is located right at St. Luke Health Services, and for over twenty-three years we have been providing a full complement of medical services and recreational opportunities to the frail older or disabled adult. We serve individuals who are looking for a safe and supportive day program, while offering caregivers a respite resource. We have flexible attendance options and transportation to our program can be arranged for residents throughout Oswego County.”

For more information about the free health screenings or the St. Luke Adult Day Health Care Program, please contact Sherry Harrison, Program Director at 342-3166, extension 1121.
