Practices will begin in early April and will be held at Oswego’s new outdoor lacrosse box, located next to Fort Ontario. Practices are tentatively scheduled for Mondays and Wednesdays, 5:30 - 7:00 pm, dependant on weather and games that may be scheduled on different dates. The cost is $59.00/child. Discounts are available for multiple children, and some loaner equipment is available. Most hockey equipment is suitable for lacrosse.
The K -2 lacrosse program will teach a hybrid style of lacrosse, combining basic skills and concepts of box and field lacrosse, with elements of basketball and hockey mixed in. Games against nearby organizations are being arranged. Coaches are John Moore and Bob Nelson; both have over 40 years of coaching experience.
